There are a lot of opportunities for promotion and career progression on the grad program. Upon completion of the program, graduates get a promotion to a higher pay scale. Many graduates also often find positions early and promote off the grad program within two years.

Everyone goes through yearly training on all social responsibility and keeps communication in regards to the matter very frequent. There are programs run to include everyone in events or leadership talks to bring people together.

Work will often vary between self-guided and team work depending on the project and task. Team members have been very friendly and easy to work with, and always happy to assist if they can. Graduates often socialise together, easy to make friends. Working hours are usually very flexible within reason, and most teams offer an opportunity to work from home if needed

The navy engineering branch is headed by some amazing female leadership in charge of every division. Inclusivity and diversity in all realms of LGBT, ethnic minorities, religions and women are driven and accepted across the department.

As a graduate engineer, I find it exciting that I can work on different projects that support the Navy. Everyday is a learning experience!

My manager went through the same program as I am currently completing, he is very good at letting me know what's going on, what opportunities there are for me, and providing guidance, yet a good degree of independence. I am currently working on some testing and documentation entirely on my own, with some consultation from my supervisor.

Offices are very good. There are a lot of sites where a graduate might work but so far everywhere I have worked has been very nice. The dress code is mostly pretty relaxed which is also nice.
