How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
Work hours are very flexible and the work-life balance is fantastic. There is an understanding in Defence that you have a life outside your work

Defence is very flexible towards working hours. I have had flexibility in choosing my exact start time and finishing time each day and I have been given the option to work some days at home as well.
Graduate, Canberra
I work 7.5 hours a day, and can work those hours whenever I want during the day. Any work I do over my 7.5 hours per day goes towards Flex hours, which I can use to take time off. This gives a very good flexible work environment.

Very flexible. 7.5 hour work days with option to work from home. Any time in addition can be used to take time off later.

Standard 38 hour work week with flexible work hours, can start anytime from 7am to 10am and leave after 8 hours of work done. If I want I can work extra and then build up overtime to take off at a later date, such as working a half day Friday. Its very easy to schedule.

Work 37.5 hours a week, any overtime is logged and you can take off whenever, as long as your direct supervisor is ok with it. As long as your supervisor is fine with it, any 37.5 hours a week are fine. I currently work 7-3, and am often first to come first to leave.

Hours are reasonably flexible and there is required that staff do not work more than 37.5 hours per week.

Very flexible, good hours with the chance to build up flex time for any overtime worked.

Work hours are often flexible, with most team members working either 8-4 or 9-5. Company offers flex hours, so you can work longer or shorter on certain days to give you flexibility for appointments or an early Friday afternoon etc. provided your average hours meet the agreed upon amount.

Pretty happy with the flexibility.

As long as total weekly hours are met, and work arrangements are approved by the supervisor, work hours can be very flexible.

Very flexible, can work 7.5 hours whenever between 7am and 7pm. Overtime is automatically accumulated as flex and can be taken later

Very flexible! You can work anytime between 7am - 7pm, with a 37.5 hour work week. Anytime you work extra is accrued and given back as time you can take off.

Very flexible, work 8 hour day. Anything more is flex/TOIL

7.5 hours a day, depending on your unit you can be as flexible as you like. I typically would take Friday afternoons off by working later hours Mon-Thurs. As APS you are kept to only 37.5 hours a week and rarely expected to work overtime
