Disability Support at Department of Industry, Science and Resources

The department is committed to providing an accessible, inclusive environment that empowers people to feel valued and bring their true selves to work.

The Disability and Wellness Network (DaWN) supports the department in ensuring an inclusive and safe workplace for all staff.

DaWN does this by:

increasing awareness and understanding of disability and wellness issues
supporting the development and implementation of disability related workplace inclusion initiatives within the department
promoting and support a culture of diversity, safety and inclusion.

DaWN membership is open to employees with disability, carers and staff who have a genuine interest in disability, inclusion and wellness.

In the 2022 APS Census 9.3% of departmental staff identified as having an ongoing disability.
