Working Hours at Fulton Hogan

6.4
6.4 rating for Working Hours, based on 31 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
I work 40 hours a week just like any other full time salaried employee. I think the hours are pretty flexible. I have worked different hours as per my convenience but also sometimes I have been sick and taken days off which was also accompanied by the team.

I think that there is definitely some flexibility with the hours my team and I work. There is a good mix of WFH and office-based work, and people are given the option to work around commitments they have.

They are understanding and extremely flexible if there is something that we cannot miss personally. Everyone works as a team and not against at any point.

Flexibility is limited in construction.

Company expects us to work more than 7.6 hours a day when on site. I work from 7.00AM to 5.00PM. However, kind consideration and flexibility is given when we have to attend to reasonable personal and medical appointments. I recently had a flexible work arrangement in place due to personal reasons which was discussed with MRPA HR representative and my manager. It was supported by evidence and the process for this was completed smoothly without any issues.

The hours do not reflect the contract work.

My company is flexible as long as the hours and work are done. I start everyday at 7 out of choice as I wish to have a routine and be present at pre starts.

I either work on-site, in the office or from home. When on site I normally work 7-4:30, which totals to 9 hours a day once you include a lunch break. Working 9 hours a day is not a problem for me, in fact there often isn't enough hours in the day! But working these hours on a daily basis took time to get used to but I am now used to it and am able to work effectively throughout the day. When at home or in the Richmond office I work 8:30 - 5:00. I am also used to this now. In terms of flexibility, FH is extremely flexible, there have been instances where I have not been able to work my full hours on a particular day and my manager/advisor is open to me having commitments outside of work.

Well to be honest, if you are a graduate civil engineer, you are looking at longer hours than 9-5. Mostly it is early morning finishing at 5pm. On average it will be 10 hours per day kind of hours.

8am-5pm pretty flexible for my role.

On site hours are long. Office hours are standard 8 hours. When in the office very flexible when it comes to hours.

Being in a project, it's difficult to say there's much flexibility.

Very flexible, works for me because I am a mum.

Generally, I work 8-hour days, with occasional days where due to the nature of work on site, sometimes I work 10 hours in a day. However, I am able to work with my team to spread the load of work and be able to flexibly adjust working hours to fit the site requirements.

Not really flexible required on site as soon as site is open for day shift.

No flexibility starts at 7, and finish on average of 6-6:30 which is good compared to the other engineers around me who work heaps more. Also, work every 2nd Saturday.

Long hours even though FH is great in flexibility the industry overall is long hours.
