Training & Personal Development at Fulton Hogan

I have had a couple of training modules completed with the help of my managers and training advisors. I have taken training courses on 'Handling Bituminous Binders', 'Spray Seal Selection and Design'. The company also have their own graduate training modules which I think are really helpful for our constant growth and success.

There is lots of formal and informal training provided within Fulton Hogan. The graduate program itself has around 5 professional development training sessions which help to put your best foot forward when starting out.

Grad Rotations around the business - 6 months experience in different areas of the business. Training programs on communication & public speaking.

Company providing with different ground of training for different level of job.

Training opportunities are abundant and of great quality. On the job training can be rushed.

Opportunity for training is present.

I am satisfied with my companies training and mentoring as I am constantly learning although I would like to get more involved in interactive day courses to cover financial, behavioural and other aspects of projects that arent as apparent in everyday work.

There is a lot of training on offer.

Trainings that I have done include: - Procurement - PowerPoint, Word, Excel (intermediate, advanced) - Leaks and Spills - Environmental Management Training - PowerBi I have done more as well. All training is easy to sign up for, with there being training occurring all year round. I would suggest grads do these as it is a good way to meet new people, and most importantly learn more about the company and develop skills.

The job does offer training but most of what I have learned has been from on the job experience. Learning excel was easy with the team, however they do offer a course. They have a career development framework which outlines what we should learn in order to progress.

On the job training is great.

Some training programs that my manager has notified me about (e.g. blue book training). I feel that we could benefit from some more work sponsored formal training for specific roles (enviro training).

I would like technical trainings such erosion and sediment control training and others.

I have appreciated how much training and investment has been provided to upskill employees and grow skills. I have undertaken course such as traffic planning, first aid and cpr which I was not sure I was going to do in my own time.

Programmes provided different working styles to improve efficiency.

There are hundreds of opportunities to improve yourself through training, and the company is very, very good at supporting you through whatever you think will improve the quality of your work and your personal development. They show a genuine and financial interest in your improvement.
