I am a working mother and I value my education so much.

The biggest thing that has surprised me in my degree is how much I'm enjoying it.

If you have a dream or goal, just start where you are with what you have and don’t worry about any of the reasons why you think you can't do it.

Iain Riek studied a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Mechanical), First Class at CQU; Rockhampton and is now a Graduate Engineer Mechanical / Mining at South32.

This is an amazing community... Collectively we're all powerfully smart." I truly believe this too and am looking forward to working to the best of my ability to turn all of this into a reality.

And throughout this journey I have never forgotten the commitment and selflessness of the nursing staff who cared for me during my own health crisis.
