Doxa supports young people experiencing disadvantage, aged eight through to 22 years. We are one of but a few Victorian not-for-profits to offer programming from primary school years, throughout secondary Years 7 – 12, and tertiary education. This comprehensive model means that our programs offer opportunity, aspiration and support across key developmental and life cycle stages of a young person.

Our aim across all programs is to ensure that all young people, no matter their circumstance, have the opportunity to achieve personal greatness. And our uniqueness lies in the focused journeys we undertake with young people – journeys marked from the beginning with care, integrity, commitment and the pursuit of greatness.

Being A Mentor: Uncovering Personal Greatness

Our Cadetship program provides high quality skilled volunteering opportunities for staff at sponsor companies, uncovering personal greatness in young people and mentors alike as Louise Garrick from JBWere explains from her experience mentoring Doxa Cadet Ewe-Jin Tan.

Stories of Greatness: Arif Hazara

Arif Hazara is 21 years old. Arif is many things - a Doxa Cadet, a mentor, a volunteer, an advocate for refugees and asylum seekers and a delegate at the UNHCR negotiations with NGOs in Geneva 2016 – and his story is a story of achieving true greatness.
