A Day in the Life at Rheinmetall

Each of the summer interns is given a long-term project to work on during their time at Rheinmetall, and mine is to develop the Cosite EMC test... As such I have to incorporate a whole host of skills into my day.

The great thing about working at Rheinmetall as a mechanical engineer is you can only learn so much from a CAD model... you can always get a firsthand look at the vehicles you are working on.

My manager has asked me to develop a fully autonomous navigation solution in simulation for demonstration in a couple of weeks so I’m straight away booting up my simulator ready for the day’s coding session

Cindy Lim has a Bachelor of Commerce from Monash University and is a Finance Graduate at Rheinmetall Defence Australia.

Nhat-Minh Iakimov-Lam graduated with a Bachelor (Honours) and Masters of Mechanical Aerospace Engineering at The University of Queensland in 2021 and is now a Student Design Engineer – Survivability & Lethality at Rheinmetall Defence Australia.

George Gett graduated with a Bachelor (Honours) and Masters of Mechanical Aerospace Engineering at The University of Queensland in 2021 and is now a Student Design Engineer at Rheinmetall Defence Australia.
