Your role: 

As a Navy Doctor, you'll practice medicine and be responsible for the health and wellbeing of Navy personnel and supporting communities in need, onboard ships and ashore. You'll get to apply your practical and professional skill sets in unique environments, working in modern, fully equipped facilities with trained Nursing, Administrative and Allied Health staff to support you.  

You may become involved in specialist areas like Aviation Medicine, Underwater Medicine and Occupational Medicine. 

If you’re already studying or ready to study a job-relevant degree at your choice of accredited university, you can join the Navy and have your fees paid for. You’ll earn a salary while you complete your degree and walk straight into a Navy role following graduation.

Salary:  

While studying for your degree, you will be paid a salary of between $35,326 and $79,939 depending on your year of study.  

Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you’ll enjoy a salary package starting from $122,508.

For this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and be registered as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA or have qualifications that enable you to be registered. For university sponsorship, you must have completed at least one year of an appropriate AHPRA approved degree and have no more than four years of full-time study outstanding to complete your degree.
