    Your role:

    As a Navy Doctor, you'll practice medicine and be responsible for the health and wellbeing of Navy personnel and supporting communities in need, onboard ships and ashore. There are opportunities for promotion and expansion of skills into health leadership and management and appropriately experienced doctors can apply for other study streams.

    You'll get to apply your practical and professional skill sets in unique environments, working in modern, fully equipped facilities with trained Nursing, Administrative and Allied Health staff to support you. If you are still at university studying a relevant degree, you may be able to have your remaining study fees sponsored. You'll be paid from day one and be provided with extensive on-the-job training.

    You may become involved in specialist areas like Aviation Medicine, Underwater Medicine and Occupational Medicine.

    Salary:

    While studying for your degree, you will be paid a salary of between $34,633 and $78,372 depending on your year of study. This is in addition to your university sponsorship.

    Upon completion of your initial military and employment training, you'll enjoy a salary package starting from $116,608.

    For this role, you must be an Australian Citizen and be registered as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA or have qualifications that enable you to be registered. For university sponsorship, you must have completed at least one year of an appropriate AHPRA approved degree and have no more than four years of full-time study outstanding to complete your degree.
