    Your role

As an Environmental Health Manager in the Air Force, you'll be responsible for the planning and execution of control strategies to minimise the health impact of the environment and workplace of Air Force personnel.

You'll be responsible for providing Environmental Health and Occupational Hygiene services including noise and lighting surveys, workplace assessments, water and food safety, emergency management, vector control and more.

A role promising plenty of variety, Environmental Health Managers are normally employed in health support environments, but you may also have the opportunity to support peacekeeping missions and communities in need by providing environmental health and occupational hygiene advice and disaster support.

On top of this, as an Air Force Officer you'll be trained to become an inspirational leader and mentor; adept at effectively communicating with, and managing teams, with a comprehensive knowledge of Air Force attitudes, values and military protocols and procedures.

    Salary:

This is your opportunity to be paid a competitive salary as you study at the university of your choice. Not to mention, you'll receive other benefits like rental allowance, textbook reimbursement and assistance with your HELP fees.
Upon commencing the program, your salary will be between $35,326 - $54,166 plus 16.4% superannuation depending on the completion status of your course.
On completion of your degree and initial training, you could earn $82,574 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation.

    Location

Upon completion of your training in East Sale, VIC, you may be posted to one of the many locations across Australia.

    Life in the Air Force

When you join the Air Force, you'll benefit from our investment in your professional growth and development, enjoy great work/life balance, a supportive team environment and extensive benefits – from free healthcare to excellent fitness facilities.
