As a clerk, you get exposure to great matters – massive commercial deals and important government work.

I feel very lucky to be able to work on unique constitutional issues or complex administrative law questions and to work alongside leading constitutional law specialists and experts.

I love how client-facing employment law is. Even as a relatively junior person in the team, I regularly meet clients via video conferences and in person.

My work can affect people in a very real way – working on a coronial inquest means I can help to give a family answers about their loved one’s death.

As a graduate solicitor, I have rotated through four different legal practice areas. I’m now in the final rotation of the graduate program, working in the inquiries practice group.

I truly never know what my next matter will entail, and every time there is something both interesting and challenging to get my head around, which always keeps things feeling fresh and engaging.

I love working with people to assist them to get outcomes which benefit their business units, the COO and ultimately the department.

The opportunity to work for one of the largest retailers in Australia and ultimately be involved in making legal decisions that would affect the company’s overall business decisions, relationship with stakeholders and reputation, was an invaluable opportunity that appealed to me.
