The opportunity to do pro bono work and help vulnerable members of the community is a really rewarding part of my role at Ashurst, so I always make sure to put my hand up to help out when I have the capacity.

Most mornings begin with emails, following up on tasks, making phone calls and planning out my day.

As a member of the Thomson Geer social club, I find time to help out plan events and organise the events on the day.

As a junior lawyer, I am often approached to participate in pro-bono matters and have found them to be both interesting and rewarding tasks.

Austyn studied Bachelor of Law at Queensland University of Technology, graduated in 2020, and is now a Graduate at DLA Piper Brisbane
