A hospital can be an overwhelming place, but I want to be that nurse that bathes you without making you feel humiliated, the nurse that explains your injuries or illness without frightening you, the nurse that speaks to your family and friends to reassure and comfort them. I want to be a nurse that you can depend on to look after you physically and emotionally.

Nursing is a career that allows for a lot of flexibility and movement, and there are so many different paths to take in a range of fields that enables you to experience new things but stay within the same discipline.

I decided to apply for Ryman because they have a good reputation and made helping residents live their best lives a priority.

By far the best part of my job is being able to help people become parents, whether it be their first, second or fifth birth – each time is magical.

The Flight Centre Graduate program definitely appealed to me, as it opened doors to a career in travel, which I’m very passionate about.

I love being able to spend all day in Excel with headphones on, and then the next day is in a workshop with 10 people nutting out an issue. I also enjoy the staff travel benefits.
