- The purpose of the award shall be to support research into end-of-life policies and practices for postgraduate research and/or coursework students in social work and policy studies.
- The bequest was established in 1997 from the estate of Miss Lesley Campbell-Brown for the development of education for social work in palliative care. Lesley Campbell-Brown graduated from the University of Sydney in 1946 and worked in hospital social work. Her bequests are in memory of Kate Ogilvie whose efforts to establish social work as a profession in Australia are outstanding.
Open to: The award shall be open to postgraduate research and/or coursework students currently enrolled, or application for candidature approved, within the Faculty of Education and Social Work who are graduates with either a social work or related undergraduate degree and who have at least two years full-time (or equivalent) work experience in the field of palliative care and end-of-life practice.
Value: Up to $8,000 per annum
