What you will learn

Upon successful completion of the Bachelor of Psychological Sciences (Honours), graduates will be able to:

  • explain key theories and methods of psychology
  • locate, critically evaluate, and synthesise research from a variety of sources to inform conceptual and practical knowledge of psychology
  • effectively communicate psychological knowledge in a range of specialist, non- specialist, and professional settings using appropriate modes and media
  • apply psychological theories, research findings, methods and skills to theoretical and practical problems in academic psychology, professional practice, and the public interest
  • work with a high degree of independence to design, conduct, evaluate and report original research
  • analyse the influences of history and culture on contemporary values and ethical practice in psychology and apply these values with cultural sensitivity and situational awareness.

Course structure
