The Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) is recognised by the Building Practitioners Board as a qualification which can be included in your portfolio of evidence to apply for assessment for registration as a Domestic Building practitioner.
You should have completed a Certificate III in Building and Construction prior to application for this course, however, significant experience as a construction site supervisor may suffice. Must be employed in the building industry as on-site assessments are required. Each student will undertake a Pre-Training Review before enrolling to help confirm the proposed course is suitable. It will provide valuable information about an individual's existing skills and knowledge, language, literacy and numeracy skills and whether the course will help in achieving learning and/or employment goals.
This qualification could lead to employment as a builder, construction manager or small business owner.
