Graduate opportunities exist as site supervisors and project managers in the civil construction industry. This course also provides a pathway to further study in civil engineering at a Bachelor or Associate Degree level.

This course prepares graduates for further study or to work at the paraprofessional level as asset managers, drafters, estimators, inspectors, modellers, planners, property managers, safety officers, schedulers, site supervisors, surveyors, project managers, team leaders, technical writers, testers and project managers in the civil construction industry.

Course structure

To be eligible to receive the Diploma of Civil Construction (Engineering and Management), students must complete the equivalent of 8 core units (96 credit points), comprising: 2 core units (24 credit points); and - 6 elective units (72 credit points) Please note this course comprises single (12 credit point) and half-weighted (6 credit point) units.
