" The matrix is considered the mother of print, so the matrix is the etching plate, the lino block, the silk screen and what comes from the Latin 'The Mother' is the multiple of printed matter. The idea of the matrix expands in this particular exhibition to incorporate the actual or material block. The digital file which is a virtual matrix and also uses the ready-made and the object to formulate different ways of making work that comes from a matrix. So all the artists in this exhibition come from a print base of some shape or form.. "
