About this course

In this major students will focus on the wide variety of resources required in order to carry out the various project activities. In first semester students will explore project procurement; acquisition processes; procurement planning; source selection; procurement documents and contract administration. In preparing for the second semester capstone unit students will explore the concepts, methods, tools and techniques of research and investigation needed for the production of a research problem, research design and methodology and literature review. In second semester these research skills are used to independently solve problems in an authentic professional environment, while applying knowledge and skills in the integrative management of scope, communication, procurement, and human resources to a capstone project.   Please refer to the handbook for additional course overview information.
