This inter-disciplinary major develops your practical skills and knowledge in the innovative use of digital media and visualisation technologies as a means of communication, for interactive application development, storytelling and user centred interaction design.
It encompasses a wide range of emerging applications and technologies, such as digital games, cross-media content, art and entertainment, content production, data visualisation, media design, social media, mobile media, virtual and augmented reality, 3D, user-generated content, interactive cinema, and digital humanities.
You will be trained on the latest interactive media and visualisation technologies applied across wide application areas, such as the arts, digital media, education, architecture, business, advertising, medicine and user-experience studies.
The Visualisation and Interactive Media major is offered as part of the Master of Arts, a hands-on course with a strong practical and industry focus, to prepare you for a career in creative practice.
High-achieving students have the option to progress to doctoral-level study.
