When you have completed Certificate III in Hairdressing, you will have the confidence and ability to fulfil your dreams of working in the industry. Your journey will include practical skills such as design, colouring, foiling, men's and ladies cutting, long hair design and much more.
Some coursework will be conducted online and will require access to a computer or device with Windows 365 or Microsoft office and reliable internet

Chisholm salons emulate an industry salon environment which makes the learning journey more enjoyable and practical to salon life. Chisholm is a Pivot Point accredited school using the latest educational resources that can be accessed 24/7 throughout your course and with teachers who are fully Pivot Point accredited.

Please note that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing requirements, to continue your learning journey, this program will be delivered remotely where possible.

Participants will be required to engage with learning material online and via video conferencing software rather than attend classes. Refer to our COVID-19 Online Service Standards for details of minimum technical requirements and support available. While it is expected that the course duration will remain unchanged, it may be necessary to extend the completion date if circumstances change. Chisholm will be monitoring the situation closely and inform of any changes if the duration of a course is extended.

Entry requirements

Applicants must be 18 years of age at the time of commencement of the course, Applicants must complete the Basic Key Skill Builder (BKSB) Assessment and achieve an outcome of exit level 3 - working level 4 in both literacy and numeracy, Applicants must have a basic knowledge of the use of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as Internet and email use and have access to a computer or tablet, Please note: students must be able to stand unassisted and hold arms at shoulder height for prolonged periods and be comfortable with working one on one in close proximity
