Your role

Global Distribution Management is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, performing in-depth analyses, and proactively driving the strategic priorities of the business. The team focuses on four main areas: business analytics & planning, technology & data management, investment team & sales team reporting, and management reporting & presentations.

Global distribution management:

The team acts as a central point of coordination between the Sales organization and other functions within Investment Management, resulting in activities and responsibilities that are varied, challenging, and interesting. The scope of team responsibilities includes all business administration matters, provision of management information, sales practices, and involvement in any project or development that impacts the sales and distribution activities conducted by the business. The team interacts across all levels within the sales organization, from senior sales management to junior sales support team members.

  • Create analysis and presentations relating to business goals, initiatives, and progress versus benchmarks.
  • Maintain team information in CRM systems and prepare analytical reports for senior management.
  • Run various daily and ad hoc reports to assist senior management in making strategic decisions.
  • North American Institutional Sales and Global Consultant Relations.
  • Responsible for coverage of institutional clients and consultants for all MSIM products and services.
  • Support the sales team in their engagement with existing and prospective institutional investors and consultants.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of the firm’s investment strategies & institutional client base.
  • Prepare business plans, sales objectives, forecasts, client channel reporting and assist with RFP’s.
  • Coordinate marketing materials for sales, including client presentations and product performance analyses.
  • Execute business requests across functional areas of the firm, including portfolio management, marketing, legal and client service.
  • Maintain sales pipeline and prepare client activity reports for senior management.
  • Maintain client databases and coordinate mass client distributions and communications.
  • Develop strategic content & deploy firm resources to gain mind share and deepen relationships with MSIM’s largest institutional clients and consultants.
  • Assist in Curating content from across Morgan Stanley platforms, including MSIM, MS Research, and Institutional Securities for deployment to clients.

Alternative distribution management:

  • Responsible for capital raising strategy and distribution of private alternatives across the institutional client channel.
  • Assist in day-to-day tasks of managing multiple private alternative fundraises.
  • Track sales and marketing activities, and maintain pipelines in Excel.
  • Organize capital raising strategy including developing prospect lists for the institutional channel in partnership with sales and investment teams.
  • Create internal and external presentation decks, populate the data room, and complete DDQs.
  • Leverage alternative databases to run prospect searches and develop comprehensive summaries for use in client targeting.

Salary & benefits

The expected base pay rate for the role will be $43.27 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other Morgan Stanley-sponsored benefit programs.

About you

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree and will graduate between December 2025 and June 2026.
  • Demonstrate interest in asset management and institutional investor landscape.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Commitment to a team-oriented environment and a willingness to openly share ideas and leverage the expertise of others to generate new ideas.
  • Driven, highly motivated, and results-focused self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required; Tableau experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively, often within tight time constraints while managing multiple responsibilities.
