Your role

General description:

The Investment Management Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program consisting of one week of training and nine weeks of working within a specific IM team. Across all IM teams, the curriculum is designed to equip Summer Analysts with the fundamental skills they need to be successful in IM. During the 10-week program, Summer Analysts experience the culture and atmosphere of Morgan Stanley by performing a role similar to a Full-Time Analyst.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Assist in data collection and the development of investment analytics utilizing quantitative methods.
  • Create templates and performance reports that provide key metrics for managerial review.
  • Perform investment research (under the supervision of a senior investment analyst) to make investment recommendations for various portfolios.
  • Work with Bank Loan credit analysts to understand underlying credits and provide optimized solutions for metrics.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects.

Training & development

During the internship, interns receive ongoing on-the-job training and work closely with seasoned professionals. You will benefit from numerous opportunities to interact, exchange ideas, and network with peers, mentors, and senior managers. Salary & benefits

The expected base pay rate for the role will be $52.89 per hour at the commencement of employment. However, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include discretionary bonuses and other Morgan Stanley-sponsored benefit programs.

About you

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.
  • Maintaining a strong academic record.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
  • Strong MS Office skills: Word, Outlook, and particularly Excel.
