Summer Analysts join for 10 weeks in June and are placed on a team within the Finance division. They will receive an intensive hands-on introduction to Finance at Morgan Stanley and broad exposure to the various functions across Finance.
Department Profile
The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of ~3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm-wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as an advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Summer Analyst Program begins with a one-day firmwide orientation, followed by a market overview and business unit-specific training. The remainder of the training is on the job. Throughout the Summer, Analysts participate in senior management speaker seminars, a group project, community service, and social and networking events to build Summer Analysts' professional networks.
The expected base pay rate for the role will be $32 per hour.
