Gender Equality at FDM Group Australia

FDM is proud to be leading by example in our efforts to create a more gender-balanced workforce.

Powering gender equality within the workplace

If you identify as a woman and are aiming to blaze a trail as the next tech leader, look no further. Our graduate program champions and supports eager women on their career journeys.

With only 28% female participation in the Aussie tech workforce and 16% in STEM courses, it’s clear that gender equality has a way to go. FDM has always been dedicated to closing that gap.

We are leading by example in inspiring and empowering more women to follow their passion for tech; creating and implementing female-focussed programs, initiatives, workshops, seminars, recruitment practices and more.

FDM’s moves toward gender equality include:

  • 51% of the senior management and their direct reports at FDM identity as female
  • 32% of all employees at FDM identify as female
  • FDM has signed the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (UNWEP)

She Lives Tech

As a sub-brand of FDM, She Lives Tech is a global, companywide initiative that reflects our commitment to gender equality in tech. It offers a unique set of tailored opportunities and benefits inspiring women to pursue a tech career with confidence and pride. The initiative includes many programs and events – such as all-female workshops, discussion panels, and coding bootcamps, with custom content designed by our expert coaches.

Under the initiative’s banner we also launched the Project Grace graduate program, named after Grace Hopper, a pioneering female American computer scientist, offering additional female-focused support events, networking opportunities, and personal development workshops.

We also host many female-focussed initiatives such as Women in Tech Bootcamps for university students and Coding Workshops for school kids.
