What's your job about?
For my current role and project, my key areas of responsibility are understanding the products and services DXC Technology has created and implemented for a client and then developing different materials and strategies to ensure the client can best use these products and services. However, my work responsibilities will change from client to client as each project has a different solution and I may be working on it at an entirely different point in the project's life cycle.
What's your background?
I was born and raised in Western Sydney, aside from a year in primary school where I lived and went to school in Canada. I have worked in jobs across a number of industries before finding DXC Technology such as hospitality, tourism, education, and the non-profit sector.
What's the coolest thing about your job?
The thing I love the most about this job is the people I work with. With every project being different, being surrounded by extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and supportive team members (not to mention managers), ensures that my workday always has enjoyable moments, and I am able to continue to complete work that I enjoy.
What are the limitations of your job?
I have faced many challenges throughout my time in the graduate program and in my current role, some of which have also become blessings. The biggest change from my time in university was the sudden shift to full-time work, Monday to Friday, 8 hours a day. However, over the year, I have learnt to better manage my time, and jobs which used to be difficult are now able to be completed much easier. One of the other greatest challenges I face is managing client interactions as every client and interaction has the potential to be completely different. Therefore, it is important to not only constantly work on building a good relationship with the client but to also manage that relationship to ensure both the client and project needs are met.
