With expert supervision and operators, state-of-the-art mining equipment and robust processes and systems, we offer clients a safe, efficient and professional contracting service to assist in optimising the development and production of their mineral resources across the globe. 

About the Program:

We are looking for enthusiastic Mining Engineering students to join our Summer Vacation Program for 2024/25. Over 12 weeks, students will have the opportunity to apply their tertiary learnings in a dynamic underground mining environment, working alongside skilled operators and leaders at one of our 17 mine sites across Australia. 

Our Vacation Program enables you to further develop your knowledge, gain practical experience, and build professional networks with colleagues and clients. It has been designed as a pathway into our Graduate Mining Engineer Program, and we encourage students to apply if they are looking to immerse themselves in a Graduate opportunity at Byrnecut upon completion of their degree. The time worked on the Vacation Program can count towards the 24 month Graduate Program.

What You Need:

To be considered for our Vacation Program, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Full working rights within Australia or relevant Visa
  • Studying Mining Engineering in your penultimate or final year
  • Hold a valid Manual Driver’s License
  • Possess strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Have a positive, can-do attitude
  • Successful candidates will be required to meet our pre-employment criteria including a drug and alcohol screening
  • Availability to commence work in late November 2024.
