Joining the Graduate Program at Bendigo and Adelaide Bank was an easy choice as my personal values are closely aligned with the organisation. What really sets the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank apart from its competitors and the reason why I wanted to become a Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Graduate is that in order for the Bank to be a success, the organisation is focused on ensuring our customers, people, partners and communities are also a success.
These are not just words, but a culture and philosophy that has been demonstrated since I started the program. Since beginning I have been involved in just a few of many ways the Group goes about achieving shared success and becoming Australia’s most customer connected bank. I have attended a community service centre opening, which is driven by the Community Bank Model, and I am currently participating in the ABCN Goals program, where Graduates are placed in the privileged position to mentor a Year 9 secondary student.
From day one you are immediately making a contribution. Some of the tasks I have completed during the program include, performance reporting on Sandhurst Trustees (a subsidiary of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank) managed funds and superannuation products, competitor analysis and collaborating with the Legal, Compliance and Investment teams to rollover a number of the managed funds Product Disclosure Statements.
The Graduate Program offers fantastic support and the work environment is highly inclusive. All grads are allocated a mentor to help guide your career and answer any questions you may have on how to best reach your goals. The program runs for two years and as an Adelaide based Wealth Graduate the majority of my role is within the Sandhurst Trustees Limited team. Rotations are through varying areas which include, Investment Products, Superannuation & Insurance and the Investment team, this also includes a 12 week customer connected role.
